Apply now to present your work at Science2008: On Our Watch "First Look" Technology Showcase event - a poster session highlighting the University of Pittsburgh's most promising new developments on Thursday, October 2nd beginning at 5PM in the Lower Lounge of the William Pitt Union.
The "First Look" Technology Showcase focuses on discoveries that have
a high potential for commercialization, such as:
* Therapeutics
* Diagnostics
* Research Tools
* Devices
* Engineering Advancements
* Software/IT
Solutions
Each presenter will be paired with a business mentor to provide advice and guidance on presenting the invention from a business opportunity perspective. The browsing audience will include venture capitalists, seed investors, local company executives and other business, legal, and financial experts. You and your business mentor will present the poster together -- this is a great way to gain exposure and generate interest in your work.
Presenters at past Showcase events have had many positive outcomes - including the formation of new companies, licenses with corporate partners and funding for commercial development.
