About the OFFICE OF ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT (OED): The OED was originally established as the Limbach Entrepreneurial Center in 2001 by local entrepreneur Scott Limbach and the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute (UPCI) under the leadership of Dr. Ronald Herberman, Director, University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute, Director, UPMC Cancer Centers, Associate Vice Chancellor for Cancer Research, Hillman Professor of Oncology, Chief, Division of Hematology/Oncology, Department of Medicine. Now under the guidance of Dr. Art Levine, Senior Vice Chancellor, Health Sciences, and Dean of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, the renamed OFFICE OF ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT remains focused on helping academic scientists learn about entrepreneurship through education, networking and participation in entrepreneurial endeavors. The Office of Enterprise Development (OED) Newsletter is published bi-monthly on Mondays. Please have submissions in by noon on Thursday for publication the following Monday. The OED welcomes company information, program announcements, and press releases; however, all information is printed at the discretion of the OED and only on a space available basis. The Newsletter does not print company earnings reports or job listings. Event announcements must include date, time, sponsoring organization, a brief description and a contact phone number.
